The meeting of socio-professionals from the tourist office took place on Friday February 2, 2024. The opportunity for the teams of the intercommunal tourist office to present the new premises of the head office, take stock of 2023, and give the desired direction over the next 3 years. A look back in pictures on this moment of sharing.

A welcome in the auditorium of the Normandy Sports Center

This year, the meeting took place at home at the Normandy Sports Center (CSN). The welcome began with a friendly breakfast (apple juice, orange juice, coffee, pain au chocolat and small croissants) followed by a welcome message from Frédéric Telhier (general manager of the Normandy Sports Center) and Olivier Colin (mayor of Houlgate).

Why a welcome at the Normandy Sports Center?

Because the new head office of the Normandy Cabourg Pays d'Auge intercommunal tourist office is now located on the site of CSN and more precisely in the Villa Madeleine. Initially occupied by the CSN teams, the villa's offices became available after the migration of staff to their new reception building. A perfect opportunity for the office staff of the intercommunal tourist office who were actively looking for new premises after the tourist office offices were returned to the town of Cabourg, following the demerger.

A win-win partnership with the CSN

Achieving the welcome of partners in this new place which now combines sporting and tourist excellence was obvious for the tourist office.

2024, the year of new challenges

The meeting continued with the speech of Olivier Paz (President of the intercommunal tourist office and the Normandy Cabourg Pays d'Auge community of communes) and members of the management of the tourist office for take stock of:

  • Defusion, addressing subjects such as surplus, personnel and promotion of the territory
  • Summary of tourist activity for 2023 (nights, tourist tax, accommodation, heritage, etc.)
  • Actions related to communication and partnerships in 2023
  • New features (such as destination magazine #2) and changes (new website tree structure) for 2024
  • The strategy ahead

The year 2024, which promises to be Olympic, will be just as Olympic for the tourist office. One of the major challenges will also consist of redefining the positioning and overall strategy of the office by defining a 3-year action plan.
