A medieval castle
A unique example of a small rural seigneury, Crèvecœur has come down to us almost intact. Surrounded by a moat, it has kept its original plan in two parts.
In the farmyard are grouped the half-timbered agricultural buildings from the 15th and 16th centuries: the farmhouse, the dovecote, the barn and the 12th century chapel.
In the upper courtyard, the 15th century residential manor is protected by a 12th century wall. A simple garden, a sheepfold, a chicken coop, a bread oven and a potter's oven complete the estate.
