Vieux-la-Romaine is the story of the town of Areguena, the capital which administered one of the territories of present-day Normandy long before the birth of the latter.
Archaeological site, come and discover the museum, the Roman garden and two restored houses; a wealthy notable's residence and a more modest house. The forum, currently being excavated, can be visited with a guide in July-August.
The daily life of the inhabitants of the ancient city of Areguena is revealed in the objects of the museum brought to light during the excavations.
Vieux-la-Romaine is also a town in the countryside, the opportunity to spend a day with the family, made of visits, walks, games or a picnic in the shade of the ancient garden.
