La Poterie du Mesnil de Bavent has been an artisanal business since 1842. On site, roofing accessories are manufactured, including ridge spikes, punches, crested ridges and interior and exterior architectural elements. It is rare and authentic know-how in a unique place. Craftsmen of Heaven!
The pottery has a museum space, a shop and exhibition rooms. It is possible to see the manufacturing work through the windows.
During school holidays (except Christmas and winter), casting workshops for children are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and in summer, guided tours of the workshops on Tuesdays at 15 p.m. (registration with the Merville tourist office).
The "Village of the creative artisans of the Poterie" is located on the site. You will discover craftsmen of year-round arts and crafts and second-hand dealers. Some shops are ephemeral: renewal and great discoveries guaranteed! The opening hours of each shop vary depending on the presence of each one. To find out which craftsmen are present, do not hesitate to call the Poterie.
