Spending family holidays and making everyone happy is not mission impossible! Spice up the traditional beach days with our list of 15 activities to do (and redo) on our territory. In the water or on dry land, there will be something for all tastes and all ages!

Compete in a tournament in one of the territory's four miniature golf courses.

Sea view, more or less technical thematic routes, entertainment: you will be served. And if you want to go around the world without leaving Normandy, opt for Cabourg mini-golf.

2. Paint your holiday memory on the Promenade Marcel Proust

Each year, an event appreciated by young and old takes place on the Promenade Marcel Proust in Cabourg. These are the Toiles de mer. Facing the sea, almost 400 meters of aligned trestles await you. All you have to do is choose your location and paint your souvenir, with the beach in France as its muse, which has inspired many painters. 

3. Fly faster than lightning in a sand yacht

Choose your car, screw your helmet on your head and let yourself be carried by the wind. Open your eyes wide, fill up on iodine and admire the coast from the beach.

4. Enjoy the joys of the sea

If you have sea legs, but prefer to keep them dry, opt for a 30-minute guided tour aboard the Bac de la Dives in the estuary between Cabourg and the town of the same name.

5. Discover the remains of a medieval village

    Dives-sur-Mer

From the art village of William the Conqueror to the medieval Halles, it is in Dives-sur-Mer that you can immerse yourself in another era and touch the stones and monuments that witnessed the passage of a Norman who became King of 'England.

Visit it on Saturday, market day in the medieval Halles. The opportunity to leave with some local products to perpetuate the memory of your stay in Normandy once back home.

6. Aim right at the Dives-sur-Mer laser tag

Another option, another intensity: it is at the Dives-sur-Mer laser game that you can have fun. Equipped with a luminous vest and a laser gun, settle your accounts with family or friends. The loser does the dishes tonight!

7. Avoid fishtails in karting

No banana peels or spiny shells here! To win at the Cabourg circuit, you will have to show composure like Sébastien Loeb. Observe the terrain, analyze your opponent, turn at the right time in the bend and the first place will be yours!

8. Strike or Spare: on the way to victory

Are you more bowling or billiards? Head to Les Ormettes de Cabourg for festive parties in a retro atmosphere of the 80s.

9. Take part in the sandcastle contest

10. Brave the whims of nature with sand as your only weapon

    Houlgate beach

Your objective: defy the elements and resist the onslaught of the tide for as long as possible. This is the whole point of the Un Fort contre la mer event, which takes place every summer on the beach at Houlgate. May the power of the shovels and the god of the sandboxes be with you!

11. Discover farm products

    Bavent

It is in Bavent, in the Verger de Roncheville educational farm, that your children will be able to marvel at the good taste of the farm's products but also learn about the environment. 

12. Treat yourself to a good dose of adrenaline at the EOLE Aventure park

Located in Touffreville, the EOLE Aventure park offers an anthology of activities for families who love invigorating outdoor activities. Aquapark, tree climbing, water ski lift, the park offers several possibilities for having fun.

Are you the head of a mini Indiana Jones tribe? It's perfect, the local fauna and flora are waiting for them. Based in Sallenelles, the Maison de la nature et de l'estuaire will teach you everything you need to know about nature and the animals that surround you. 

14. Don't be afraid to wet the t-shirt

On the Côte Fleurie, there is no shortage of water sports. And with the 14 kilometers of coastline that our territory has, the whole family will be delighted. Catamaran, windsurfing or even paddle, nautical activities offered in Cabourg, Houlgate, Merville-Franceville-Plage, Dives-sur-Mer or even Varaville are numerous.

15. Be comfortable like clockwork

Does the pumptrack speak to you? Based in Merville-Franceville-Plage, this closed all-terrain circuit, with bumps and bends, welcomes mountain bikes, BMX, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters! Enough to allow your toddlers to do pirouettes, without forgetting to put a helmet on their head.

You are more comfortable on a bike, join the cycle paths that run along our coast and cross our marshes. Of bicycle rental companies are also at your disposal to take full advantage of the territory.
