April 2025: first spring break, first breath of sea air!

Easter Monday – April 21 : three days of rest thanks to this public holiday Monday. The perfect opportunity to take a rabbit jump to Normandy and recharge your batteries!

What to do during the Easter weekend?

Unsurprisingly, there are the many egg hunts for families which will take place in certain cities of the territory (go to our calendar for details). But that's not all because the end of April marks the beginning of the apple trees in bloom in Normandy. So why not take advantage of this moment for a walk in the orchards and set off to discover the apple and its many variations. Cider*, pommeau*, calvados* or other condiments will delight your taste buds.

May 2025: the month of bridges… and good deals!

Labor Day – May 1st (Thursday) : take your Friday, May 2nd off and enjoy a 4-day weekend. Because working is good, but chilling is better!

Victory Day – May 8 (Thursday) : here we go again! A short day off on Friday, May 9th and you can enjoy the dolce vita on the Normandy coast. A real win-win weekend!

Useful info: by taking 5 days off (May 2 and the week of May 8), you have 11 days of vacation. Isn't life wonderful?

Ascension – May 29 (Thursday) : as they often say: never 2 without 3. Take your Friday, May 30th off and let yourself be carried away... by relaxation and fresh air by the sea!

What to do during the May bank holidays?

3 bridges, and 4 events not to be missed. You can travel back in time with the Cabourg in the Belle Époque event for the 1^er May, opt for a good restaurant and a walk by the sea during The Sea Stars or the festival Houlgate Plein Vent which will take place on May 10 and 11, enjoy the 2 horse racing events (Cabourg Classic et Angerville horse racing) which will take place on May 29 and 30 respectively.

Otherwise, you can simply recharge your batteries during a nature outing with one of our tours.

June 2025: a taste of summer to savor!

Whit Monday – June 9 : a long weekend without taking a break, we say yes! The opportunity to take a breather before the summer season.

What to do during the Pentecost weekend?

It's the beginning of June and the days are starting to get longer. It's time to take out the picnic basket to launch the season of beach aperitifs at the end of the day. While waiting for the sun to set, you can enjoy your day at the festival. Women expose themselves in Houlgate or attend the arrival of hundreds of people in costumes during Venetian Magic of Dives-sur-Mer !

July 2025: long live the summer holidays!

National Day – July 14 (Monday) : three days off to celebrate the National Day!

What to do during the July 14 weekend?

We'll give you a thousand guesses: the fireworks ! But you can take advantage of this extended weekend to try a new activity. It all depends on whether you are more of a horse or an inflatable buoy!

Useful info: there is a page in the highlights that lists all the fireworks in the area. It is updated throughout the year, so don't forget to add it to your favorites. If you don't know how to do it: it's Ctrl + D on PC and Cmd + D on MAC.

August 2025: Take the bridge… to the beach!

Assumption – August 15 (Friday) : How about a long weekend with your feet in the water? Let yourself be lulled by the lapping of the waves.

What to do during the weekend of August 15?

We don't do it on purpose, but... fireworks again ! And yes, for the weekend of August 15, the city of Houlgate plans to light up the sky at sunset.

And since the yellow star plans to turn off its lights around 21:15 p.m., that gives you time to stroll around the city during a cultural walk the Belle Epoque villas, does that mean anything to you?

November 2025: a break before winter, that's not to be refused!

Armistice – November 11 (Tuesday) : take Monday, November 10th off and give yourself a break before tackling the end-of-year rush.

What to do during the long weekend of November 11?

If you have already put away your swimsuit, we suggest you take it out again, not for a sea bath (we prefer to wait until next month to offer it to you), but rather for a session spa / cocooning / well-being / massage.

December 2025: End the year in style!

Christmas – December 25 (Thursday) : By taking Friday, December 26, you can enjoy 4 days to prolong the magic of the holidays and relax under a blanket with a view of the sea.

What to do during the long Christmas weekend?

Celebrations, entertainment, walks in the towns of the territory to observe the Christmas lights, family meals with good local and seafood products: there is plenty to keep you busy! Speaking of the sea... if you want an original activity for the end of the year, think again about sea bathing! There is definitely always an opportunity to get out your swimsuit in Normandy, even during the winter!
