The ornithological reserve of Saint-Samson

Covered with water to 80% of its surface in winter, this 104-hectare reserve is a wintering and stopover site for birds.

Take to the skies in one of the two observatories where telescopes are available to admire the rich fauna of the site: the outdoor observatory is accessible all year round and the indoor observatory from November 1 to March 31.

The Fédération des Chasseurs du Calvados, manager of the site, offers free nature activities lasting 2h30, on the discovery of this reserve and the birds, from November 1 to March 31.
