Whether you are passing through Normandy for a romantic, family, sporting or gourmet weekend, here are several ideas to concoct your own themed day!

1. Children first!

In the morning : start your day with a visit to Cabourg in little tourist traine. During 45 minutes, you will learn many anecdotes about the Belle Epoque villas, the estuary, the Marcel Proust Promenade or flower gardens. And if you want to keep the attention of the little ones, why not offer a quiz at the end?

Noon : direction the Workshop, to enjoy a good crepe or a small inventive dish! The afternoon : to get some fresh air after lunch, if you are introducing your children to walk fishing ? This is allowed on beaches of our territory, that's good ! Put on your boots, grab your rakes, and it's up to you! Also take the opportunity to make a family sandcastle contest !

If the weather is good, continue your day with a trip to Verger de Roncheville , about fifteen minutes by car. This domain, labeled Welcome to the Farm, offers all kinds of local products, and has a large animal park and a mini-golf course, ideal for entertaining the little ones!

Finally, do not hesitate to take a look at the program of the Club Cabourg : organized in summer by the city of Cabourg, this event offers a multitude of varied activities for the whole family.

The evening : after a busy day, nothing like a dinner facing the sunset. At Cafe de la Digue from Cabourg, you will be able to let the marine flavors invade your palate, while your eyes will be lost in a breathtaking setting. Good news, the restaurant is also particularly suitable for large tables, and the view is ideal for enjoying yourself while keeping an eye on the children playing on the beach.

The morning : start your day on the right foot by going to the pretty Cabourg market, outdoors on Sundays, or in the halls on Saturdays. Yield with delight to the joyful calls from shopkeepers and let yourself be carried away by the good mood. You will discover tasty local products, and can even taste some very fresh oysters, accompanied by a small glass of white wine! 

Noon : If the sight of all these victuals has whetted your appetite, it's high time to grab a bite to eat at Beautiful Site, all the tables of which have a superb Seaview. You will feast on marine specialties, before setting off on a digestive walk along the beautiful Marcel Proust Promenade.

The afternoon : stroll along the beach on the longest pedestrian promenade in Europe, and admire the sumptuous architecture of the Belle Epoque villas. You may notice the studs and columns of the Meridian of Love, a unique work in the world, which celebrates universal love. Something to inspire your future fiery missives...

If you want to end your afternoon on a note of sports romance, opt for a horseback riding on the beaches of Cabourg or Merville-Franceville-Plage, where you can admire the colors of the setting sun and get your fill of thrills.

The evening : end this day in style with a duo massage in the center of Thalazur thalassotherapy. Under the expert hands of your masseuse, your muscles will become more supple and your tensions will gradually disappear, giving way to a feeling of deep calm. The must ? 3. Let it pop!

The afternoon : after the meal, go and test the green at Blue Green Golf, in Gonneville-sur-Mer! This 18-hole course will take you along the Normandy bocages, to end in style with a view overlooking the Normandy landscape.

The evening : after the effort, comfort! We go to eat at Eden, whose fresh and seasonal cuisine was rewarded with a gourmet Bib. Virginie and Nicolas welcome you with a smile, around dishes mainly focused on sea ​​products. The ideal address for a convivial dinner with friends. 

4. Remaking History

In the morning : start with a visit to the the Merville Battery, this German fortification dating from the Second World War, where you will relive a great moment of the 1944 Landings thanks to a surprising immersive device. 

Continue with the Ranville military cemetery : nearly 2600 soldiers are buried there, most of them British. Did you know that thanks to the paratroopers, Ranville was the first town to be liberated in metropolitan France?

The afternoon

Continue your historic day by going to the Pegasus Memorial which tells the incredible story of the Pegasus mission, led by Commander Richard Gale in 1944. Open your ears, it's worth the detour!

To cheer up your heart, come and taste the beers of the Brasserie des 9 mondes (brewery) , run by the Fournier brothers. Passionate about Nordic mythology, Thomas and Nicolas will make you discover with pleasure their craft beers, and their manufacturing methods. Be careful, however they do not do catering! 

The evening : impossible to be in the area without stopping for dinner at Thierry Ramard, whose pig's trotters and spit-roasted duckling have become the house's iconic dishes. A great gastronomic address to end the day!

5. 100% Normandy

The morning : for a morning full of authenticity, discover Beuvron-en-Auge. This village, renowned for embodying the essence of Normandy, is full of listed houses from the XNUMXthe and XVIIIe century, while in the surrounding area, stud, churches et mansions dot the moor. Don't miss the guided tour "Discovering Beuvron-en-Auge", which will reveal the secrets of the most beautiful residences in the village.

The afternoon : furrow the Cider Route, and stop at the many producers along the way to taste their production. Don't miss the farm Desvoye cider, where you can discover an old wine press dating from 1828 and taste all kinds of homemade apple products.

The evening : end your day with a traditional Norman dinner at Cafe Forges, in the heart of the village of Beuvron-en-Auge. The rustic decor, with its fireplace corner, will be a favorite for sure!
